The New Zealand Merino Company has expanded its collaboration with TextileGenesis to deliver full traceability for 100 percent of ZQ-certified wool and ZQRX regenerative wool.
This move followed the successful completion of a traceability pilot with three leading global brands in 2023.
Every kilogram of ZQ and ZQRX wool will carry a unique Fibercoin™, creating a secure, end-to-end digital chain of custody from farm to finished product.
By embedding traceability across 100 percent of these standards, The New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) has ensured brands can validate their sourcing practices with precision and transparency.
For NZM brand partners sourcing ZQ and ZQRX wool, this delivers verified farm-to-product data, authentic sourcing claims and future-ready compliance.
While ZQ and ZQRX wool have always been traceable back to the farm, this initiative deepens and protects the integrity and value of the standards, ensuring they remain the pinnacle of ethical wool sourcing and maintain a competitive advantage for The New Zealand Merino Company brand partners.
By embedding traceability as a default feature, NZM and TextileGenesis have created a future-ready model and set a new industry standard: traceable sourcing is the baseline, not the exception.
