Outdoor Utility Footwear Brand Launches its First Official New Zealand Website

Teva has long been a brand that strives to inspire those who crave experiences and connections, in whatever form they take. Favoured for its practical style and ultimate comfort, Teva footwear is considered essential for all your outdoor pursuits.

Universally loved by modern adventurers everywhere, the outdoor footwear company will unveil its first-ever NZ-dedicated website and social platforms this September.

“We are thrilled to expand the Teva brand further into New Zealand with the launch of our first e-commerce operation here,” said Vice President and General Manager of Teva, Anders Bergstrom.

“As a brand that stands for freedom of expression and exploration, Teva is committed to making better decisions for the planet and taking impactful steps towards a diverse, equitable and inclusive future for all. It is our mission to be your guide for adventure in the modern outdoors, enabling movement, exploration and expression of freedom in all forms."

Now expanding its footprint in Aotearoa, the original sport sandal emerged from the banks of the Grand Canyon in 1984 when a resourceful river rafting guide strapped two Velcro watchbands to a pair of old flip-flops to prevent them from floating downstream. Today, the brand outfits free-spirited adventure-seekers all over the world with versatile, modern outdoor footwear, inspiring those who crave experiences and connections, in whatever form they take.

With a pioneering spirit at its heart, Teva is committed to seeking sustainable alternatives and reducing its environmental impact, so future generations of Kiwis are free to explore the wild world around them.

In 2020, Teva transitioned 100% of its iconic straps to traceable recycled plastic using REPREVE yarn. Since then, 40 million plastic bottles have been diverted from landfills by the brand, putting them to better use by strapping them to people’s feet.

Taking it back to Teva’s roots, the SS21 line celebrates core qualities of function and comfort. In anticipation of warmer months spent exploring the best of another Kiwi summer, the collection encompasses new hikers, a wide variety of updated sandals and casual shoes in reimagined colourways and new materials.
