PETA US BUYS SHARES IN LUXURY BRANDS

Amid the COVID-19 stock market downturn, PETA US has purchased stocks in nearly two dozen companies. Their motive behind these purchases, however, are unique.

PETA US has bought shares in the likes of Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Guess and much more, to push brands to ban the use of wool, mohair and cashmere in their products.

"Today's kind consumers care about animals and the environment and want to support companies that share their values and sell stylish, comfortable vegan jumpers and coats only," said Emily Rice, PETA US spokesperson.

"PETA US is heading to the boardroom to pressure retailers from Ralph Lauren to Urban Outfitters not to sell items that animals suffered and died for".
