American record producer Pharrell Williams has unveiled his new Humanrace capsule collection, an ode to the adidas Samba silhouette and the label's football heritage.
The collection features a reconstruction of the iconic Samba shoe, using premium materials like suede and leather and added zig-zag stitching to adidas' iconic three stripes to mimic the original Samba model. Coming in the colours of Night Grey and Cloud White, these simplistic designs juxtapose previous adidas x Pharrell Palettes and contemporise the Samba shoe for a new generation.
The apparel knits together elements from adidas' rich football history, while also utilising timeless colours and distinctive puff print details.
The Knit Jersey and Knit Long Sleeve Jersey in three colourways each - Night Grey, Semi Screaming Green and Cloud White, as well as Black, Cloud White and Hazy Orange.
The minimalist Woven Shorts are made from a soft premium woven material and available in the Night Grey, Semi Screaming Green and Hazy Orange colourways.
Available in Night Grey and Light Yellow, the Shell Jacket and Pant is crafted in classic ripstop and transports wearers straight to the football pitch.
Modern and sleek, the campaign imagery was shot by Gabriel Moses, who leverages the legacy of the Samba shoe as a backdrop to the modern sportwear influences in streetwear fashion today. The models are positioned against a textured background, highlighting the collection's vibrant colours and juxtaposing the football kit's preppy style elements in a playful manner.
