Pinterest has released its annual trend report, Pinterest Predicts, to give consumers and advertisers a first look at the trends of 2025.
2025 will be about making a statement—individuals will look for ways to stand out and engage all their senses through their choices. The report showed that more people have leaned toward bold expression and maximalism.
Fashion
Seeing Double
Besties don’t copy—they match. Coordinated fits will be the topic du jour in the group chat this year. From collaborating on festival fits to aligning on date night looks, everyone from Gen Z to Boomers will be about staying in sync (in a chic way).
Fisherman Aesthetic
Gen Z and Gen X have been riding the wave of a new laid-back maritime attitude with cable-knit sweaters, striped tops, and sardine tattoos. Searches have been soaring for sardine tattoos, and everything’s fishy in 2025.

By analysing year-over-year growth in search terms, Pinterest identified the fast-rising patterns and curated the findings into the future-looking report, which has proven 80 percent accurate over the past five years.
