Footwear brand New Balance has announced a new lifestyle focussed footwear style, the 009. The style was inspired by the New Balance 900 series and draws on the needs of the 24/7 consumer. While the shoe is rooted in New Balance heritage, it also incorporates innovative pressure mapping technology to create a dual density midsole resulting in superior underfoot comfort with stability.
The 009 borrows gold-standard details from the regular performance models while featuring a neoprene foam package on the collar that is moulded and contoured based on ankle anatomy. As an added benefit, the style also features a collapsible heel for easy entry.
As a brand dedicated to optimum performance, New Balance collaborated with 2016 World Indoor 60-meter champion and 100 meter IAFF World Championship bronze medalist sprinter, Trayvon Bromell to capture his passion for sports, speed and sneakers and translate it into the design.
Available from July, the 009 will be stocked both online and through selected retailers.
