PUMA has started its RE:SUEDE experiment by sending out 500 pairs of Puma sneakers to test whether it can make a biodegradable version of its most iconic shoe. The 500 pairs will be sent back after six months of wear and will then be analyzed by industrial composting experts to see whether the sneakers can biodegrade in a controlled, industrial setting.
Actress and model, Cara Delevingne will be one of the participants of the RE:SUEDE project.
