shears-logoOne of New Zealand’s largest commercial interior design companies, Shears & Mac, has gone into liquidation.
The notice was filed May 14 with Jared Waiata Booth and Tony Maginness from McDonald Vague appointed as liquidators. Records show that former director Gregor Barclay of Claymore Partners Limited stepped down the day before Shears & Mac went into liquidation, alongside two additional directors Jeremy Burn and Matthew Turnbull who each resigned within the last month.
Shears & Mac has worked with prominent clients like Cue, Ballantynes, Coach, Quiksilver, The Coffee Club, OPSM, Federation, Lovisa, Sunglass Hut, Trenery and Reebok, and its website has been taken offline.
A new director, Craig Wilson, was appointed on May 13 but has yet to comment on the situation.
Shears & Mac operated its head office out of an 8,000sqm warehouse in Penrose, Auckland and also had operations running in Parramatta, Sydney.
