Galeries Lafayette is celebrating African fashion. Building on last year's success with brands featured in the pop-up, which was acclaimed by customers and the media alike, the event is making a comeback. True to their mission to bring people together, inspire and spark dreams, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann is reaffirming its special ties with Africa with a pop-up from 17 June to 8 July 2026.
On this occasion, the department store is once again inviting its privileged partners CANEX x TRANOÏ, Adama Paris, and Studio Ka x Africa Fashion Up to present a selection of designers from Africa during the AFRICA NOW pop-up event. Through this collaboration, it is showcasing the rich heritage of their cultural, creative and artistic heritage, which has been infused into the fashion industry and, more broadly, into society.
Launched by Afreximbank in partnership with Tranoï, the iconic Paris Fashion Week® trade show, ‘CANEX Presents Africa’ is part of the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) programme, an Afreximbank initiative dedicated to the development of creative and cultural industries in Africa.
For eight seasons, CANEX has had a dedicated space within Tranoï, allowing African designers to showcase their collections during Paris Fashion Week and benefit from strategic visibility on one of the most influential international fashion stages. The platform aims to increase its global reach while facilitating its access to financing, production, distribution and investment opportunities in the fashion industry.
This pop-up offers a unique opportunity to discover and purchase pieces from the spring-summer 2026 collections of these emerging talents in Paris, featuring African designers' creations that cannot be found anywhere else.
