The World of Wearable Art (WOW) has launched a new VIP experience, allowing customers to experience the event on a luxurious level.
The event, held for three weeks annually, has celebrated fashion designers' innovative and breathtaking designs while incorporating live music, dance, and ariel.
Operated by the esteemed Great Journeys New Zealand, the VIP experience is a unique journey that allows customers to witness scenic wonders, savour local cuisine, and enjoy entertainment on board the Coastal Pacific as they embark from Christchurch and make their way to Wellington.
This package will also include a two-night accommodation package, reserved seats at the 2024 WOW show and a return flight to their place of origin.
All VIPs will also be given a taste of the red carpet before boarding the train. They will receive a goody bag and a WOW-inspired meal.
“Encouraging South Islanders to travel on Coastal Pacific and Interislander creates a full WOW experience. The Friday departure date aims to persuade customers to have a weekend away and immerse themselves in the Wellington culture,” said Tracey Goodall, general manager at Great Journeys New Zealand.
“We encourage customers to be quick as the WOW Train departing from Auckland on 10 October is sold out.”
The Wellington Region is greatly impacted by the number of tourists who come to see the show each year, and a certain positive buzz is felt annually.
“You always know when the WOW season is in full swing, there’s a certain vibrancy in the city that comes as a result of so many people coming to Wellington to see the shows,” said Heidi Morton, Wellington New Zealand’s general manager of events and experience.
“WOW not only has a huge economic impact on the city, but it is also at the forefront of cementing Wellington’s reputation as a creative, thriving capital capable of putting on world-class events.”
Last year, the show contributed more than NZD 30 million to the Wellington Region, with 60 percent of ticket holders being visitors.
