The Queen of Quartz is a female-owned company based in Australia that has been shining since 2016 with its handcrafted range of gemstone bracelets, headbands and crowns. The passion and creativity for this artisanal skill was naturally invoked in creative director Katie Pascoe since childhood.
Pascoe’s grandmother, a palm reader, was a huge influence on her interest in the metaphysical elements of nature. To honour her, The Queen of Quartz launched a limited edition collection called Dorothy’s Garden, inspired by the flowers Pascoe picked her in grandma’s garden.
Pascoe is a champion for woman empowerment and she herself is one woman army as she hand picks gemstones from a select group of suppliers who ethically source them, cleanses and manufactures everything herself and gets some help only during peak periods.
Her interest in the metaphysical translates into her quartz products as the gem works on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels to purify, activate and amplify energy.
The Queen of Quartz also focuses on sustainable practices in order to reduce environmental impact by using carbon neutral shipping methods and recyclable shipping materials, using solar energy and planting three trees in Madagascar (through Ecologi) for every order that is placed.
“As a business that ships globally from Sydney,” said Pascoe. “We are currently stocked in over 30 stores including some in New Zealand and expand our range every couple of months with new pieces and combinations.”
