Camilla and Marc have released their Autumn/Winter 2023 collection titled "TRANSIENCE."
Drawing from the ancient Japanese Wabi Sabi philosophy, the collection honours a state of simplicity and transience, celebrating the beauty in permanence and the idea that every moment is harmoniously connected.
Camilla and Marc's Autumn/Winter 2023 range seeks to strip back and redefine elements true to the brand to cultivate a renewed sense of equanimity and balance.
Masculine shapes are contrasted against delicate fabrications, creating a melodic dance between soft and sharp. Through subtle deconstruction, new tailoring silhouettes are explored, providing a seasonal refresh on classic shapes. Deconstructed layers can be seen in the tailored dresses, while the full length skirts feature a drop waist, evoking an effortless sense of ease.
Clean cuts, double lapels, shoulder pads and menswear detailing are all part of the collection's classic silhouettes.
The colour palette of TRANSCIENCE is marked by tonal, harmonious prints and colour, fusing nature's elements with respect to its existing environments. Earthy tones are enlivened with accents of colour like bright pastel green, as seen in the relaxed trench.
Camilla and Marc also utilises a delicate and tonal Japanese bird print on a stretch jersey and on black silk, evoking the freedom and harmony of Wabi Sabi.
A graphic egg sculpture inspired textured accoutrements, which can be seen on imperfectly shaped silver brooches that are ideal to be styled back with tailoring.
The collection's accessories also showcases the Wabi Sabi philosophy by embracing the beauty in impermanence, as seen in the white leather slide with an exaggerated square toe.
