Since Auckland's Commercial Bay opened its doors to the public, they welcomed over half a million visitors in its first 14 days of trading. This goes to show that Kiwis are eager to support retailers, especially now, in Level 1.
“We are unbelievably impressed with how Commercial Bay has performed since it has opened. It’s humbling to see Auckland celebrate the precinct and support these retailers at such an important time,” said Scott Pritchard, Chief Executive of Precinct Properties.
New Zealand brands twenty-seven names and Yu Mei, positioned within locally-focused Little Queen Street, both indicated response from customers had well-exceeded their expectations.
“We had over 1,700 guests come into our Lounge across the first weekend. It was so special for me to have been there to meet them in person and for them to experience our brand alongside the world-class line up in Little Queen Street," said Jessie Wong, founder and director of Yu Mei.
“We have been so emboldened by all the support we received in our first week. Auckland came out and for us, it really meant a lot,” said Anjali Stewart, co-founder and owner of twenty-seven names.
