Converse Debuts New Chuck Taylor All Star Construct Silhouette

Converse has added a new silhouette to its Chuck Taylor family - The Construct.

The new style is an evolution of the original Chuck Taylor by drawing on influences from Converse's eighties court heritage for a fresh vintage aesthetic, including the addition of a reimagined utility outsole.

A rubber cage encasing the toes on both the medial and lateral sides of the sneaker was created for added durability.

Aside from creating extra grip and protection, the new outsole touts a herringbone thread that extends into the midsole for an amplified utilitarian look.

The lightweight EVA midsole on The Construct has also been made thicker and wrapped in rubber foxing tape for a unique but sleek aesthetic.

Decorative stitching has also been applied to the reinforced canvas upper of the silhouette, creating pattern breaks that will enable for new material and colour applications.

The Construct is complete with Eco-OrthoLite cushioning, designed for all day comfort.

The Chuck Taylor's signature elements remain intact, including the pinstripe, toe cap, rubber foxing tape at the forefoot, and of course, the iconic All Star patch.

Launching on February 10, The Construct is available in Black, Roasted, Vintage White and Cyber Grey.

Converse's Chuck Taylor All Star shoe has been adopted and interpreted by creatives around the globe for decades. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Converse continues to be recognised as a brand for self-expression around the world and across cultures.
