New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) has announced the dates for its 2026 return.
Following an incredibly successful 2025 event that hosted celebrated designers, New Zealand Fashion Week will once again be held at Shed 10 in Auckland, reaffirming the iconic waterfront venue as the home of the country’s premier fashion event.
This year, New Zealand Fashion Week has also secured Events Boost funding from the Government, further bolstering the event and supporting increased visitation from domestic and international guests, media, designers, and industry.
“This is one of several exciting events the Government is supporting in 2026,” said Tourism and Hospitality Minister Louise Upston.
“From world-class international and homegrown musical acts to sports fixtures and arts and cultural celebrations, these events will bring fans, visitors and a big boost to New Zealand’s economy.”
The Events Boost Fund is a one-off NZD 10 million contestable fund that aims to increase international visitation and drive short-term economic activity by supporting the growth and promotion of events.
Presented in partnership with Giltrap Group, NZFW 2026 will continue to celebrate the best of New Zealand fashion, bringing together established designers, emerging talent and the wider creative industry through a programme of runway shows, immersive experiences and thought-leading conversations.
The 2026 event will build on the momentum of 2025, reinforcing New Zealand Fashion Week’s role as a platform for creativity, culture and innovation, and as a key meeting point for the local and international fashion community.
“We are incredibly proud of what we achieved in 2025, establishing the perfect foundation to continue to evolve the event and look at more ways where we can have a positive impact on the industry and New Zealand as a whole,” said Liam Taylor, Director NZ Fashion Week Board.
“Along with the additional support from the Government, we are fortunate to have the continued support of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, which really does set the event up for continued success.”
NZFW 2026 is set to take place from the 17th to the 22nd of August 2026. Further details, including programme highlights and participating designers, will be announced in the coming months.
