From September 23 to 25, at Simac Tanning Tech in Milan (Hall 10, Booth A48/B47), Zünd will unveil Dectura, the new workflow for automated leather processing, developed together with partners Mind and Mindhive Global.
This is a fully integrated workflow, enabling increasingly precise and efficient leather cutting. Dectura combines artificial intelligence and machine vision with the Zünd digital cutting system to make the processes of detecting, classifying, and cutting hides faster, more accurate, and more reliable.
The leather processing line first goes through the MindHive FinishSelect component, which, with the help of AI, can capture, evaluate, and measure hides in just 15 seconds, before being processed through MindCUT software, developed by the Portuguese partner Mind and integrated with Zünd’s cutting technology.
In the high-resolution image generated by this system, more than 10 distinct defects per hide are automatically identified, with an accuracy of up to 0.17 mm. This ensures significant time savings, complete traceability, and consistent quality in a process that until now has been largely manual and, therefore, prone to errors and inconsistent results.
With the integrated Dectura system, Zünd is redefining the standards of digital cutting, offering leather processing companies a technological leap towards smarter, integrated, and data-driven processes.
