A South Korean design company has developed a new method to remove odor from footwear. The "Water Vacuum", engineered by 250 Design, is the first footwear dehumidifier that utilises water suction techniques to extract moisture and odor from various shoes without the need for electricity.
By inserting a special water pouch into the plastic compartments, moisture is drawn in, away from the inner of the shoes which leads to minimal bacterial growth and prevents odor from building.
Currently the range is available in five different colours, with specific attention paid to the casing design, and costs approximately $20USD however it is currently unavailable in New Zealand.
