Kathmandu Group CEO Resigns

Kathmandu Holdings has announced the resignation of CEO Xavier Simonet. Simonet had led the company for five and a half years and will now pursue a new role for the Australian Public Service.

Simonet said his time at Kathmandu was exciting and is very grateful for the support from his teams, Board of Directors, Shareholders and his Chairman, David Kirk.

The business wishes him well on his future endeavours at the Australian Public Service, in which he is well-suited for.

Simonet will remain in the company for the six-month notice period, whilst the Group finds his successor. Simonet has led the Group through a period of growth and re-positioning with iconic brands like Kathmandu, Rip Curl and Oboz that create an outstanding brand profile for an outdoor adventure company.
