Australian eyewear brand drops new 2016 campaign

The popular sunglasses brand, Le Specs, launched their new campaign this morning with 16 new looks. The collection highlights exaggerated structures, a soft colour palette and metallic inlays. A futuristic finish has become the main focus partnered with new materials and construction. For the first time ever, Le Specs is introducing new completely flat lenses and ultra-flexible, lightweight stainless steel frames.

Le Specs designer, Hamish Tame explains...

The concept for Le Specs this season was taking classic beachside looks and creating a rebellious energy. Traditional seventies shapes such as the classic aviator and cats’ eye were reimagined with more drama and attitude. Particularly key this season is the introduction of completely flat lenses into the collection, which reflect in a way that feels totally new.

The campaign was a creative collaboration between Le Specs and The Collecteur. Giulia Scalese, a fashion still-life artist, says she has been a long time fan of the eyewear brand and jumped at the opportunity to work with them. "Every style is bold and recognizable, and the fun shapes and colours add the perfect dose of personality that I seek to incorporate into my work." says Scalese. She created a series of expressive pieces to emphasise Le Specs' bold and bright collection.
