L’Oreal Releases Makeup Applicator for People with Limited Mobility

L'Oreal has just launched Hapta, a new handheld ultra-precise motorised makeup applicator for people with limited mobility.

Utilising technology originally designed by Verily, a Google-owned life sciences company, the applicator's built-in smart motion controls and customisable attachments allows those with limited hand and arm mobility to apply makeup precisely and steadily.

Deputy CEO of research, innovation and technology at L'Oreal, Barbara Lavernos, said that inclusivity is central to the company's innovation and beauty tech strategy.

"With Hapta, we are going one step further by making beauty more accessible because everyone should have equal access to it," remarked global brand president at Lancome, Francoise Lehmann.

Currently, the Hapta levelling device is set to debut with Lancome this year. A lipstick applicator will be released first, followed by additional makeup applications in the future.
