This follows the record-breaking success of its largest store opening in Takapuna, Auckland, in November 2024. The new Christchurch location marks another major milestone for LSKD as it continues to inspire Kiwis to be 1 percent better every day.
The Christchurch store, situated in the heart of Christchurch Central, is set to open its doors on Saturday, 1 March 2025. The launch will coincide with a weekend of vibrant local activities, offering an unforgettable shopping experience for the active Christchurch community.

LSKD’s journey began when Daniel, a passionate BMX freestyle and motocross rider, earned the nickname “Loose Kid” for his daring spirit—an ethos that continues to drive the brand’s commitment to adventure and excellence. From humble beginnings selling T-shirts and stickers trackside, LSKD has evolved into a globally recognised activewear powerhouse, surpassing $100 million in sales and establishing a growing retail footprint across Australasia and the U.S.
The brand has evolved alongside Daniel's journey; with his passion for functional fitness, he is in awe of where the brand has come from and where they are now.
New Zealand’s enthusiasm for LSKD is evident, with over $10 million in online sales to Kiwi customers before the first physical store opened.
“Opening a store in Christchurch allows us to connect with the community on a deeper level,” Daniel explains. “We’re passionate about creating spaces where people can experience the brand firsthand and feel part of the LSKD movement.”
The Christchurch store will offer LSKD’s full range of high-performance activewear to support sports, fitness, and everyday adventures. To celebrate the grand opening, LSKD is hosting exclusive events. One is a tights and shorts swap—an initiative that encourages customers to trade in pre-loved activewear for brand-new LSKD pieces. This initiative was a standout success at the Takapuna opening, drawing hundreds of participants and showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainability through its Project Earth program.
In addition to the swap, customers can look forward to limited-edition Christchurch-themed merchandise, special promotions, and in-store surprises.
