UK | Morleys department stores Ltd have appointed Allan Winstanley as Chief Executive.
Morleys Brixton was established on Brixton Road in 1880 as Morley & Lanceley, a general drapery business.
Today, Morleys Brixton still stands on Brixton Road, with four floors ranging from men’s and women’s fashion, beauty, home, and furniture.
Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, Morleys now stands as Brixton's only department store. The department store prides itself on delivering the best customer service and product selection for its community.
Winstanley will take over from Nigel Blow, who has been CEO for the last eight years, starting in January 2025.
He has returned to the UK after having worked with Myer department stores in Australia. At Myer, Winstanley served as a co-lead for the turn around of the business.
Prior to that, he worked with Sears in the US, De Bijenkorf in the Netherlands, and House of Fraser in the UK for ten years. He started his career with Marks & Spencer, and his previous directorships were with the British Fashion Council and the UK Fragrance Foundation.
