Breast Cancer Cure is the charity partner for New Zealand Fashion Week this year.
A one-off runway event at Auckland Waterfront's Shed 10 will bring together some of Aotearoa’s most iconic fashion designers in support of life-changing breast cancer research in New Zealand.
The powerful celebration of creativity, community and purpose will take place on Friday, 21 August.
The runway is set to showcase collections from an exceptional lineup of New Zealand designers, including Augustine, Bendon, COOP, Cooper, Curate, Trelise Cooper, Federation, Kathryn Wilson, Knuefermann, Moochi, NOM*d, Repertoire, Ruby, Storm, Superette, Tuesday Label, Untouched World, and Zambesi.
Breast Cancer Cure Chief Executive Sonja de Mari said the partnership with New Zealand Fashion Week represented an important platform to unite fashion and philanthropy on the national stage.
“Fashion Week is an iconic moment in New Zealand’s creative calendar, and we are honoured to be named Charity Partner in 2026,” said de Mari.
“This show brings together some of our country’s most celebrated designers in support of a cause that touches so many lives.
“Every ticket helps fund research that is changing the future of breast cancer in Aotearoa.”
Breast Cancer Cure was founded in 1997 in response to the high number of patients facing invasive treatments such as mastectomies and breast reconstruction.
The organisation’s founding principle was rooted in the belief that investing in breast cancer research within New Zealand could make a significant difference and positively impact the outcomes of the devastating disease.
Every ticket sold will support New Zealand-based researchers working towards improved prevention, earlier detection, more precise treatment, and better outcomes for all affected by breast cancer.
With limited capacity, the event is expected to sell out quickly.
