Postie’s new leadership

One of New Zealand’s most popular retailers, Postie, have announced the appointment of a new CEO. Linda Leonard will now be heading the ship as the organisation looks to continue their 110-year position as a Kiwi favourite fashion destination.

Leonard had over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry throughout New Zealand and the United Kingdom when she was appointed as CEO of the company last month. Her experience ranged from merchandising with Arcardia Group, buying positions in Farmers, Number One Shoes and The Warehouse and a tenured position with British retailer Debenhams before finally joining Postie in 2015.

“Linda has been an integral part of the senior management team since she joined Postie in 2015. Her contribution helped the company to turn a profit last year and she has supported strong foundations for sustainable growth,” said Rod Orrack, the previous holder of Leonard’s position.

Leonard also released a statement celebrating her new position. “I’m very lucky to work with a world-class team of people with a genuinely collaborative culture, and I look forward to the next chapter in Postie’s journey,” she expressed. “As new entrants hit the New Zealand market, it’s important that we continue to really listen to our customers and meet their needs better than our global competitors.”
