AFC’s Curated returns to Australia

Sydney is set to host another edition of the Australian Fashion Council’s Curated event, which showcases some of the country’s top independent designers and celebrates local talent.

The event will feature a pop-up retail space at The Strand Arcade, where 14 independent fashion labels will be showcasing their work. Participating names include Salty Fox, Revel Knitwear and Cedar & Onyx. These designers and many more will be on a rotation between the 3rd and 30th of May to promote locally sourced styles.

Jenny Layton, Curated industry mentor, released a statement highlighting the importance of this event for the Australian fashion industry. “The seed that is being sown now is something that can work with businesses and help shape them in what is an evolving landscape,” she explained. “Curated is so unique, and so meant to be, and so necessary for this industry.”

Layton, along with other mentors such as VAMFF CEO Graeme Lewsey and AFC CEO Dave Giles-Kaye will be hosting a series of workshops to help these labels grow their holdings and expand their businesses.
