RUBY has announced the launch of its new collection, Sequence, due to arrive in mid-March. The collection intends to create a seamless and easy transition between seasons, with a mixture of lightweight and heavy fabric due to the temperature fluctuation in autumn.
Throughout this collection, RUBY had taken current trends, such as bright pops of colour, and stripped them back to have a more simplistic and classy approach. Like other brands, RUBY’s approach to fashion design is creating timeless articles of clothing that can become wardrobe staples for their customers.
The rise in the ‘office chic’ trend has undoubtedly inspired this collection, which includes a wide variety of well-tailored blouses such as the Ruffle shirt and pants such as the Sweeny trousers. They also created diverse knits, with the heavy-duty Matilda cardigan in a long-sleeve and a vest. Lighter knit options within the Sequence collection include the Annie cardigan that sports a detachable bow tie inspired by the surge in the coquette aesthetic.
When aiming to return to basics, RUBY covered core outerwear, denim and suiting. The neutral plaid Rooney Coat or the green and blue checkered Sian Coat are perfectly paired with the versatile Kurt denim skirt or Missy jeans.
Regarding colour palettes, RUBY stuck to the autumnal pallet, with solid basics, large pops of red and greens and even light hints of baby blue. As RUBY stated, the Sequence line is their ‘polishing era’ choosing to stray away from more complicated patterns and instead centring around block colours, plaid and horizontal stripes. The exception to this is the Kaarina Slip dress and Neptune mesh long sleeve, featuring a signature RUBY distorted red tartan.

The collection celebrates the return of some customer favourites; including the 90s silhouette Milo sweater, this time in a new colourway. The Esme long sleeve returns in green and red stripes.
RUBY features three everyday essentials for accessories, two adjustable strap bags and a cap. All three products come in a range of hues and patterns.
