Footwear company Under Armour has created a pair of special 3D printed custom shoes for veteran Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

Using 3D-printed midsole technology, the shoes were released this year as part of the company’s UA Architech brand. The footprint of Phelps’ son Boomer was added on the insole for a more personal touch.

UA Architech includes an interlaced lattice midsole that can only be created using 3D print technology. Each pair has a 3D printed upper that can be customised for every individual.
