Small Hong Kong-based business Brilliant Design & Build has harnessed the digital world to expand its services through Transformation Sandbox (T-box) software.

Brilliant Design & Build, a small business focused on creativity, faced a common challenge. The nature of their business, where design takes precedence over customer relationship management, made it difficult for them to reach new clients and areas of profit.

After identifying this common theme within the creative industry, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council established the T-box programme, aimed to help small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) perform essential tasks such as customer relationship management and IT functions.

Brilliant Design & Build joined the T-box programme in 2022 to overcome these challenges. Leveraging its services, it transformed homes and workplaces into attractive and liveable spaces. The success it found in expanding its business prompted it to seek further T-box consulting services was monumental.

Cathay Choi, Brilliant Design & Build's internal design director, spoke highly of its experience with T-box.

"T-box provided us with government funding information, and we eventually obtained Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) funding to build the website," said Choi.

"With a website, we have our own platform to demonstrate our work and projects professionally, to build brand awareness."

Alongside the website, the TVP funding enabled Brilliant Design & Build to build a VIP system and an IT management solution. These systems store records of site inspections and detect early problems with existing installations.

Brilliant Design & Build has recently joined several T-box webinars to stay up-to-date on a wide range of issues regarding her selected industry.

One of the highlight webinars surrounded resolving and preventing commercial disputes, an essential task for any contractor.

In addition to this, T-box provides information on the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the nine adjacent mainland cities.
