TESTEX AG, Swiss Textile Testing Institute has expanded into New Zealand and is excited to announce the opening of a new branch office in Ruakaka. TESTEX is an independent Swiss testing and Certification Corporation that focuses on textile and leather testing. Headquartered in Zurich, TESTEX operates in more than 20 branches worldwide. TESTEX AG was developed from the “Seidentrocknungsanstalt Zurich” founded in 1846 and is the official representative of the OEKO-TEX® Association in Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland, South Korea, Taiwan, Shanghai & Beijing.
TESTEX’s chief marketing officer Marc Sidler explained that up until now all of their New Zealand customers have been assisted by their Melbourne office. “The Leather Standard by OEKO-TEX® was introduced in January of this year and the export value of wool from New Zealand has reached roughly 600 Mio USD,” Sidler added. “These facts convinced us that now is the perfect time for us to cement our presence in New Zealand.”
With this development, TESTEX has responded to the increase in demand from the New Zealand textile industry for OEKO-TEX® products including Standard 100, Leather Standard, and Step by OEKO-TEX®. “We are happy to deliver our premium services in another country with great economic potential and a strong textile industry.”
