The Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge is gearing up for their second year, and applications are now open.
This unique fashion programme has a global appeal and aims to support innovative new businesses who are developing solutions which promote inclusive, positive and sustainable changes in the fashion industry. The program targets start-up and scale-up stage businesses, promoting growth and expansion within the industry.
To enter, companies need to submit a project proposal with a focus on inclusive fashion. The applicants will be slowly narrowed down over a four-month period, and six finalists will be invited to develop their plans alongside a team of dedicated supporters. These finalists will then pitch their projects at the Campus of the Future in Amsterdam in 2020, to be judged by a panel of prestigious judges. A prize of 150,00 Euros will be split among two winners who will also receive a yearlong mentorship to support their ventures.
Tommy Hilfiger released a statement celebrating the announcement of the programme’s second year. “The first chapter of this global initiative was an inspiring journey that put a spotlight on incredible ideas that could change the lives of people through a more positive and inclusive fashion landscape,” he related. “Through the Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge, we continue to mentor and support social entrepreneurs who are putting their heart and soul into addressing issues they strongly believe in. This celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit and determined optimism at the heart of our brand DNA.”
Applications are open from the 18th of March to the 12th of May, and businesses are being encouraged to think outside of the box with their pitches.
