A Final Farewell to Georgia Alice

The world-renowned New Zealand fashion brand, Georgia Alice, are closing their doors.

Georgia Alice launched almost ten years ago, and the decision to close the business for the founder, Georgia Currie, was undoubtedly a difficult decision. However, in a recent Instagram post, Currie stated that the decision ultimately comes from a place of happiness, joy and hope for the future.

I believe so much in the power of clothing.

Georgia Alice is known for her designs that are simple yet luxurious wardrobe staples for women. Found in international boutiques across Europe, the US, and Australasia. Currie's designs have been worn by the likes of Parris Goebel, Leandra Medine and Margaret Zhang.

The pandemic was the only time she had to really think about what she wanted to do with the brand as well as with her own path personally, therefore, the close of the Georgia Alice chapter for Currie, although scary, felt the most natural.

We're sad to see such an iconic New Zealand fashion brand say farewell, however, we're excited to see Currie dip her toes back into fashion, in a new way, sometime in the near future.
