Global footwear giant Vans has unveiled its latest design – its first-ever fully waterproof shoe. The new style aptly called the Trek Slip-On continues the tradition of functional innovation that boasts its 'take what you can throw at it' attitude. Available in grape leaf, and black colourways, the new look was conceptualised by Vans global surf team and was inspired by the idea of a shoe with the benefits of a sandal, and came to life with the spirit of radical experimentation that Vans Surf has become known for. This lightweight one-piece was crafted to reduce overall waste while offering durability in a flexible, packable silhouette.
Its Checkerboard design upper features open windows for breathability and the ability to rinse-and-repeat whenever needed. Ports along the toe and heel have been incorporated for water drainage, and an oversized reverse Waffle sole provides improved traction and grip in a variety of conditions.
