Allbirds, a worldwide leader in sustainability in the footwear industry, has launched a new resale platform named ReRun, collaborating with Trove, a provider of eCommerce services, to further their holistic commitment to sustainability.

Andy Ruben, CEO of Trove, stated that they could not be happier to partner up with Allbirds, a one hundred percent carbon-neutral business, to create ReRun as they continue to progress towards their goal of achieving a fully circular business model.

By partnering up with Trove, Allbirds will be able to prolong the lifespan of its products via Trove’s advanced technology and logistic systems.

Hana Kajimura, Head of Sustainability at Allbirds, explained that it is vital to integrate sustainability into every facet of its business choices to move towards a circular fashion economy. Through the launch of ReRun, customers can play a part in helping to extend the life of its shoes. Therefore, the company is ecstatic to work with Trove on its first venture into the eCommerce market.

Allbirds will offer customers the opportunity to trade their shoes for 20 US dollars in-store credits at three locations (Los Angeles, Chicago and New York). The shoes will later be sold to other customers at a reduced price, starting at 59 US dollars. Allbirds hopes to grow the resale programme to other retail locations in the US.
