Emerging designers opportunities

The New Zealand fashion industry is demonstrating their commitment to nurturing emerging talents once again with the announcement of the 2019 Walk the Line Youth designers Fashion Show.

The showcase is being held as a part of New Zealand fashion week, giving emerging designers the opportunity to mix and mingle with some of the country’s finest brands. Participants are to be aged between 13 and 18 and are invited to register to show off their design prowess.

Approximately 60 students from across the country will be selected to show their work at the event on September 1st. The event also supports the YMCA’s Raise Up programme, which offers youth development opportunities to struggling individuals.

There is a selection of prizes up for grabs, including study and scholarship opportunities for the emerging designers to learn alongside industry elites.

Registrations are expected to open soon.
