In support of Fashion Revolution Week 2022, Fashion Revolution New Zealand has announced an exciting series of digital events. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the team has decided to digitalise the campaign and shift events and content online.
Aligned with this year’s theme “MONEY, FASHION, POWER”, Fashion Revolution New Zealand has explored ways to embolden and encourage citizens and brands to become agents of their own change. This year’s digital campaign will aim to:
- Educate New Zealanders about the value of clothing, as well as its societal and environmental impacts.
- Provide tools for New Zealanders to ask their favourite brands questions around production, environmental degradation, and requesting transparency.
- Raise awareness on the connection between New Zealand being an island nation and the environmental cost of imports.
- Help New Zealand brands recognise and improve the environmental impact of their business models.
Leading the national team of fashion activists from various sectors of the industry, Amanda Butterworth and Natalia Bertolo are excited about this year’s return to the roots of why Fashion Revolution began: to create an equitable fashion system for everyone.
The digital campaign will feature ticketed online education sessions and live industry interviews. People can get involved more via social media, digital storytelling opportunities, and more.
