Previewed on the runway at Paris Fashion Week in early 2026, PUMA has enlisted Japanese label noir kei ninomiya to transform the iconic Speedcat into an avant-garde exploration of craftsmanship and form.
Fusing the silhouette's streamlined motorsport DNA with noir kei ninomiya's experimental construction techniques, the collaboration has presented an entirely new expression of one of PUMA's most recognisable icons.
For this collaboration, the Speedcat has become a wearable sculpture. The sneaker's low-profile silhouette has been enveloped in a dense array of translucent floral appliqués that bloom across the upper, giving the streamlined design a tactile, three-dimensional composition.
The result is an expressive interpretation that has blurred the boundaries between footwear, fashion, and artwork. The collaboration has arrived in three monochromatic colourways, black, white, and red, reflecting noir kei ninomiya’s signature palette.
While black has remained central to the label's identity, the addition of white and red subtly referenced the cherry blossoms that mark the arrival of spring in Japan, a recurring source of inspiration throughout noir kei ninomiya's collections.
The PUMA x noir kei ninomiya Speedcat is available at noir kei kinomiya in Japan and will be followed by a phased rollout across key global markets through August.
