Levi’s And Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke Collection

Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke broke box office records in Japan with its initial release in 1997. Today, this Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece has captured the hearts of the world for its breathtaking animation style and environmental themes.

By pairing the brand's style with the film's aesthetic, two cultural icons, Levi's and Studio Ghibli, have created an artful collection with poetry woven into every piece.

Inspired by the film's landscapes and mystical characters, the Princess Mononoke collection honours environmental storytelling and transformative enchantment. Each piece captures the essence of the forest and the beauty of a deeply connected ecosystem.

The film's forest and sun background is seamlessly integrated into the atmospheric denim of the San & Wolf Trucker Jacket, the Ashitaka 501 '93 Jeans, and the San & Moro 501 Shorts.

Dark indigo pieces like the Nightwalker Denim Kimono Jacket and the Kodama Denim Overall evoke the mood of the characters' environments, while the graphic tees and hoodie gravitate towards the characters themselves.

The collection also includes Princess Mononoke-inspired accessories with Levi's bandana featuring San's mystical red battle mask,  the Ancient Forest Bucket Hat and a San & Ashitaka Tote.

"Over 25 years after its release, Princess Mononoke continues to resonate deeply with audiences across the globe as an animated icon," said Karyn Hillman, Chief Product Officer at Levi Strauss & Co.

"It was a joy collaborating with Studio Ghibli and creating a beautiful collection that pays tribute to this compelling, artistic masterpiece."

Early access to shop the collection will be available to Levi's Red Tab Members two days before its global launch on the 10th of August.
