The dates for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia _MBFWA) Resort 2020 collections have been announced. The event will be held at Carriageworks in Sydney from the 12th to the 17th of May 2019.
The show has continued to prove a massive success and is set to enter its 24th year. The event saw a 35 percent increase in international media attention in addition to a 5 percent increase in global buyer attendance and a 13 percent increase in designer participation in the last year. International representation included VOGUE US, the New York Times and Saks Fifth Avenue.
New South Wales Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall has expressed his support for the event. “As Australia’s pinnacle fashion trade event, the week-long schedule of runway shows is an important platform for fashion labels to showcase their collections, generate sales and grow their business,” said Marshall.
The event is a crucial opportunity for both revered and up and coming Australian designers. There are opportunities for a large variety of industry figures to make their mark on Australian Fashion in what is sure to be a stellar show.
