New Balance Announced Collab with Inside OUT

Global athletic leader New Balance has introduced its latest collection in commemoration of Pride 2021, entitled “Everybody’s Welcome,” which includes a collection of footwear and apparel.

Inspired by the global LGBTQIA+ community and rooted in vibrancy and playfulness, the 2021 PRIDE collection features art by queer Hong Kong visual artist, Zoie Lam. The footwear and apparel introduce original designs by Zoie that are emblematic of happiness and optimism. Her genderless characters are quirky and kindhearted; exemplifying warmth and empathy and underline our belief that everybody is welcome, no matter how you identify.

To celebrate the launch and recognise National Schools Pride Week in New Zealand (14th June until 20th June), New Balance is supporting InsideOUT to celebrate rainbow staff and students and increase a sense of belonging in New Zealand school communities. InsideOUT provides information, workshops, education, and consulting for anything concerning rainbow or LGBTQIA+ issues and education for schools, workplaces, and community organisations.

As well as donating funds to InsideOUT ahead of next year’s National Schools Pride Week, New Balance has gifted the ‘Everybody’s Welcome’ collection to InsideOUT staff across the country, who will wear the collection as they work with schools, and at community events.

The collection includes graphic tees, shorts, an anorak and singlets, as well as the Fresh Foam Tempo running shoe, Made in US 574, 202 sandals, 57/40.

The collection is available globally and on the New Balance website, now.
