Launa Inman has been appointed as the new Festival chair for the Melbourne Fashion Festival. This will be effective 19th May 2021.
Former chairman, David Briskin, will step down after four successful years at the Festival. However, he will remain on the Board.
"I am delighted to welcome Ms Inman as the next Chair of the Melbourne Fashion Festival. She is one of Australia's most accomplished corporate leaders and her determination and drive has seen her lead a number of iconic Australian companies," praised Briskin.
Inman has served the Board for the past eleven years.
Inman was also awarded the Telstra Australian Businesswoman of the year in 2003. This award recognised her achievements in 2012/13, she was only of only six female CEOs in the ASX 200.
"It is an extraordinary honour to have been offered this opportunity and I would like to especially thank Mr Briskin for his dedication and stewardship of what is undoubtedly Australia's largest fashion event," said Inman.
