From 12th November, Santa Claus will be visiting Westfield Centres across Auckland. After two years of socially distanced Christmas photos, families are highly anticipating the return of the festive tradition of meeting Santa on his red velvet throne. In all Westfield Centres, Santa photography, festive celebrations, and community gift-giving will be in full swing.
Guests are welcome to stand by Santa’s side, join him on the red velvet throne, or find a spot on his knee as we enjoy restriction-free photography for the first time since 2019. Santa’s arrival and festivities will be happening in Westfield Centres across Albany, Manukau, Newmarket, Riccarton, and St Lukes.
Experience the magic at any of the following locations and times on Saturday, 12th November:
- From 11 am at Westfield Albany, Santa and his festive friends will begin at the Plaza and jingle throughout the centre, finishing at Santa’s throne.
- At 12:30 pm at Westfield Manukau, Santa’s arrival will include a parade and special appearances from Monty the Monkey, magical elves, ballerinas, and our local community police and defence force teams. Activities, including face painting, will continue until 2 pm.
- Westfield Riccarton at 11:30 am, dancing elves, tap-dancing reindeer, and dancing pavlovas with the nutcracker will be at the arrival of Santa and Mrs Claus.
- At Westfield Newmarket, an entourage of Christmas characters will parade through the centre from 12:30 pm, including a brass band, showgirls, acrobats, a kids dance troupe, elves, ballerinas, and Santa and Mrs Claus. Finale will take place outside the Santa Set, Level One, near David Jones. Festive face-painting and outdoor DJ on the rooftop will be among the activities to enjoy.
- Santa will arrive in style at Westfield St Lukes at 11:30 am, joined by dancing elves, ballerinas, and performances from the Mt Albert Grammar School choir.
“Carillons à Musique,” the immersive experience where customers will be transported to a luxurious Christmas room, will happen from Friday, 18th November, at Westfield Newmarket. With velvet drapes, mirror panels, and a whimsical music box, a twist of a crank handle makes the room come to life in light and sound.
The festive fun doesn’t stop with Santa’s arrival. Until Wednesday, 30th November, customers can be in to ‘Win Westfield’s Top Christmas Gifts.’ Enter at the Westfield Plus Zone for a chance at winning one of five prize packs stuffed with Christmas goodies.
