Innovative menswear designer Raf Simons has joined the team at Calvin Klein as chief creative officer, meaning two additional menswear shows for the designer. The appointment sees the masculine undertone of the Calvin Klein brand paired with an experienced menswear designer who can also translate his skills and experience into the brand’s womenswear offering.

Simons will be responsible for unifying the 25 product categories under the Calvin Klein brand in the hopes of returning it to its international lifestyle brand status.

“Not since Mr Klein, himself, was at the company has it been led by one creative visionary, and I am confident that this decision will drive the Calvin Klein brand and have a significant impact on its future,” said Steve Shiffman, CEO, Calvin Klein.
