The Textile Institute offers an extensive introductory course for beginners in manufacturing and developing textures. The three-day course in September 2024 has been developed to provide information regarding fibres, yarns and fabrics used in the apparel industry and household applications.

The programme has been designed to cover all the basics in various fields. It comprises seven sections: fibres, yarns, weaving, warp and weft knitting, nonwoven fabrics, dyeing and finishing, and fabric testing and analysis.

“All of the modules were interesting,” commented Tiffany Lowe from Roy Lowe & Sons. “They were so in-depth; I have enjoyed learning about the different processes.”

The Textile Institute has a wide variety of knowledge about the industry that is complied with and taught throughout this course. Seven industry professionals will teach the program.
