Being a lover of all things scented, Melissa Lockwood once experimented with candle-making on a day-off from work, in her apartment that she shares with her best friends, and could not stop after that. So she single-handedly started her business, Sanctum Candles.
“I was so fascinated by how technical and precise everything had to be to get the perfect candle,” said Lockwood.
Sanctum Candles has a wide range of small and big candles, candle bundles, wax melt clamshells and even reed and car diffusers in 16 different scents. Their aim is to provide high quality made to order products so that people can have faith that they are spending their money on something they will truly love.
“By making products made-to-order there is less possibility of waste for items that don’t sell as well.” This also helps in ensuring that every product is carefully curated for each individual customer.
Lockwood feels a sense of pride in her achievement and will forever be grateful for everyone who supports her business. Sanctum Candles has four new projects underway and will soon become more public in local markets.
