FOOTPRINT 3D: Digital Footwear Manufacturing Event

FOOTPRINT 3D is an exciting two-day event, bridging the gap between the footwear industry and digital manufacturing such as moulding, knitting and 3D printing.

Joining FOOTPRINT 3D provides brands with an introduction to the latest technologies and learning how to use them. Beyond manufacturing, brands can also have a chance to learn about the latest digital design software using AI and parametric design.

This event for the digital manufacturing of footwear is being held at Industrial Akroll, Barcelona, on the 22nd and 23rd of September this year.

Day one includes an opening and future aim forecast by Nicoline van Enter, CEO of Footwearology. This is followed by the business model for digital manufacturing: production on demand with Zellerfeld, Oechsler and others.

Santoni, HP and others talk about digital manufacturing workflows: combining knitting, printing and moulding, which is continued by the future of moulding with DESMA, Siocast, Simplicity Works and Futuresole Institute.

Daniel Petcu provides 3D printing workflows for the orthopaedic footwear industry, and Fused Footwear, Koobz, and Elastium discuss how independent designers can 3D print their collections.

The day ends with a networking event for exhibitors, startups and VIPs.

The second day opens with a recap of Day one by Footwearology, followed by the automation of 3D design with McNeel Europe, Spherene,  Footwearology and various AI startups.

There are also 3D printing workflows for sports performance footwear with Oechsler, CodeFTWR and luxury footwear with Stratasys, Supermateria and others.

This event is the perfect follow-up after Lineapelle to learn more about digital innovations to propel footwear brands forward.
