We are looking for an experienced Senior Machinist to join our factory team in Invercargill.
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong industrial machining experience who takes real pride in quality and workmanship. The role will involve working on the machining floor as part of our production team, while also assisting with sampling, development work, and helping bring new products and styles into production.

About the role
This is a senior role within our factory team. You will work across day-to-day production while also supporting the development of new products and helping maintain a high standard across the machining floor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Machining premium garments and products to a consistently high standard
- Working with heavier and more complex materials including leather, shearling, lambskin and other specialty fabrics
- Operating a range of industrial sewing machinery, including walking foot and overlocking machines
- Assisting with samples, prototypes and first runs for new products and styles
- Helping translate designs and patterns into well-made finished product
- Supporting problem-solving around construction, machining methods and production flow
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy, finish and consistency
- Assisting and supporting other machinists where needed across the floor
- Contributing positively to a tidy, professional and efficient workroom environment
What we are looking for
- Strong industrial machining experience
- Experience working with heavier fabrics, leather, upholstery-weight materials, shearling or similar would be highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards
- Good understanding of garment construction and how products come together
- Experience with sampling or development work would be an advantage
- A practical, calm and solutions-focused approach
- Someone reliable, steady and capable who takes pride in producing beautiful work
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
