MLV shoes have opened their first space in Lisbon. The Portuguese footwear brand, founded in the 1960s, now displays its entire collection after only being found online or in multi-brand sales points.

MLV’s store opens intending to provide customers with a unique shopping experience. Located in Avenida Guerra Junqueiro in Lisbon, the new store demonstrates refinement and sophistication and is quintessential to the brand's growth over time.

“During a brainstorming session in 2010, we decided to develop our first models,” explained Pedro Vieira, grandson of the brand founder who has been running the company since 2000. “We subcontracted Portuguese factories in the north to produce our creations. Since then, the brand’s identity has been refined with our ideas, year after year.”

After Vieira changed the company's positioning, MLV expanded into woman’s shoes that defined elegance and style. Detailed with bows, stones, sparkles, and beads, MLV also made shoes of comfort, making their brand unique.

“The market already had very comfortable shoes, or very stylish ones, but people would take them off after an hour or two. We decided to combine both aspects.”
