M&S Beauty has announced the expansion of its partnership with one of the world’s leading skincare and make-up brands, Estée Lauder.
More than 400 new Estée Lauder skincare and make-up products will be introduced to M&S this month – including the brand’s global bestseller Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation. The partnership builds on the success of Estée Lauder Fragrance at M&S.
“We’re delighted to build on the strength of our partnership with Estée Lauder by offering make-up and skincare. As we continue to reshape for growth, our focus is on combining the strength of our core beauty offer with carefully selected third-party partners as we seek to become the trusted editor for Beauty,” said James Mugford, Head of Beauty at M&S.
“We’re confident that the addition of Estée Lauder make-up and skincare will complement our existing beauty offer and support us as we continue to broaden our appeal, helping us become more relevant, more often, to our customers.”
The expansion into make-up and skincare with Estée Lauder - the brand that launched Advanced Night Repair in 1982, the first ever serum of its kind and a game-changer for modern skincare routines - is part of a strategic focus from M&S on the growth potential in the Beauty category. It is a key brand in its bid to enhance M&S’s skincare and make-up proposition.
With Estée Lauder’s science-backed formulas and prestige positioning, M&S customers can explore targeted, high-performance skincare backed by over 75 years of research. The brand also incorporates advanced skincare into its makeup, offering products that not only enhance but also care for skin over time, too.
The partnership is part of the wider ‘Brands at M&S’ strategy, which aims to complement and complete M&S’s core own-brand Beauty offer with a range of carefully curated products as M&S seeks to become the trusted editor for Beauty.
The arrival of Estée Lauder will bring the total number of third-party beauty brands available in-store and online to 53; third-party brands now represent over 40 percent of total sales in M&S Beauty.
“We are thrilled to partner with M&S, a trusted and growing beauty destination, to bring our iconic products to M&S customers in the UK,” said Luke Evans, Vice President / General Manager at Estée Lauder.
“Grounded in our night science leadership, skin tone authority, and fragrance expertise, we are excited to deliver our best-in-class products and an elevated, high-touch experience to M&S Beauty halls nationwide.”
Estée Lauder will be available on M&S.com, as well as 17 M&S stores, including Bluewater, Cribbs Causeway and Fosse Park; each store will have a dedicated Estée Lauder counter with expert beauty advisors on hand to assist customers.
Both the in-store and online shopping experiences have been curated with the Marks & Spencer customer in mind, with easy navigation highlighting solutions for skin concerns and makeup looks for everyday or occasions.
