OPENING NIGHT

Opulence, modernism and romance were the highlights of New Zealand Fashion Week’s opening night, where young label Harman Grubisa opened the event with its latest collection.

The label, founded by design duo Jessica Grubisa and Madeleine Harman, showcased its autumn winter 2017 range which was designed and produced in collaboration with New Zealand jeweller, Jasmin Sparrow.

“It has been an incredibly humbling opportunity for our young label,” said Harman.

Sun motifs, which are a signature of Sparrow, ran throughout the Harman Grubisa collection which was focussed on empowering women through the feeling of luxury.

“This range emphasises the importance we place on fine New Zealand made goods,” said Grubisa.
