RETURN TO RUNWAY

New Zealand Fashion Week 2016 saw the return of trans-Tasman brand Salasai who partnered with the Auckland-based architecture firm Taylored Studio to produce a dynamic experience never executed in New Zealand. The continued development of Salasai Home alongside a strong passion for architecture prompted a simple idea to develop into a full creative project.

“This is the brilliance of working with creatives, and Will exercised his experience to turn our idea into magic,” said Kirsha Whitcher and Kelly Watson, co-designers, Salasai.

Taylored Studio produced a white, wood, rectangle structure that ran right down the runway, splitting the catwalk in two which resulted in a more casual show, falling in line with the brand’s relaxed aesthetic.
